Ray's Drive In - 20 N. Beacon Blvd, (aka US 31)

Ray's Drive in has been a landmark in Grand Haven Michigan for several generations now, and understandably so. As it always has been, you go into a small counter style area to order and either eat outside or get it to go, since there is no seating. But don't think of it as a negative at all! This is classic Americana. If you want your kids to experience what “fast food” used to be, just take them to Ray's.

You can still feed two people for under 10 dollars, and it all comes in a brown paper bag just like we remember. A couple doubles or triples, an order of some of the best fries on the lakeshore and drinks for 10 bucks? Yep! And good too!

It's a little tricky to get to Ray's if you are headed southbound on US 31 through Grand Haven, but very easy if you are northbound. To get there southbound, you will have to know where to turn or double back, but a meal there is very much worth the few minutes in traffic if you miss your turn.

Ray's still has the friendly service you remember, the food you just sometimes have to have and great prices.
